I'm told that the JDM stuff can be a bit salty on insurance - just so you know. Having said that others on here who have Type S's will know more. Hope you find a good 'un.

Exactly this. JDM's do cost more to insure I'm afraid, no question (says the man who has one of each so can do a direct comparison based on same proposer details).

Ello bud, welcome to LG :Hello: Good choice with the superior 5th gen ;)
Don't be put off by insurance though. People have mixed views about this. But I went from a UKDM auto to a JDM manual, and it only cost me a £20 admin fee to change. And my premium has gone down slightly every year 8-) just make sure you get quotes from prestige, sky etc, you will get a members discount ;)

thanks for the welcome guys! I live in a nice part of the country so my insurance is relatively cheap anyway. My budge is £2-3k which should get me something decent, right?
