Don't worry about the CEL (engine management light) or SRS. When you bridge the connector, it puts all the ECU's into fault code read mode.
Yep, one sensor will fix both faults, as suspected.

I've forgotten for sure which is left and which is right. I think it's as you're sat in the drivers seat, so left would be passenger side

But anyway, your best bet is to double check it's the sensor rather than the harness anyway, by getting under the back of the car, unplugging the sensor (orange plug in board of the suspension) and continuity checking across the pins to confirm it's u/s, rather than the harness.
nb: it will be the sensor 99.99% of the time, but the one time you don't test it, will be the one time it's the harness
