Who knows :? Depends how it was being driven when the belt went. It could be as cheap as slapping a new belt on it, it could be totally goosed, or somewhere in between.

Are you looking to do an engine swap? Healthy H22's can be had for £150 or under so IMO it's a risk buying one with a snapped timing belt.

Personally I would steer clear of it. Although I dont know enough about trying to mate a engines from manual cars to an automatic gearbox :?

I assume the engine you are aking about is from a JDM car? as the UK didint get an auto 2.2 VTEC.

it wont just have bent valves if the valves are bent it means they have hit the pistons so they will be damaged how much you wont know until you strip the engine to rebuild an engine on the cheap would end up being more expensive than sourcing a used one and you would still have to remove the engine to rebuild it properly.
Putting an engine from a manual car into an auto is as easy as removing the flywheel and replacing it with the flex plate.

if you buy the engine all you need do is unbolt the flywheel from the new engine and bolt the flex plate from your old engine in its place then bolt the new engine to your autobox
