You lot being the people in the know how much is the car worth? or once the service and cambelt done along with the body work what is its potential worth?

Any help appreciated,

That's a really thorny subject, as it's all down to condition with these cars now.
TBH, I'd imagine it won't make any real difference to the insurance as they will pay out 'market value' (i.e. a pittance) in any eventuality, unless you try to go for an agreed value policy.
Might be easier to just tell them £1000?

Hi and welcome.
I was looking at that 2nd gen too. Not a bad price.

Welcome, remember seeing this one, doesn't look like it needs much to sort it out.

Insurance valuation is in many ways a bit immaterial really, just make sure you don't underprice the car (they'll never pay over what you said it was worth) but don't overvalue it either (it risks putting up your premium or meaning they won't insure you at all) and you won't get the value you've given them, unless it's an agreed value policy.

The suggested £1k sounds like a sensible figure to me.

Right the French Car Show is out of the way, (saw a couple of Honda's on the track) its time to try and get the Prelude on the road, hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

I've more or less finished tidying up a 53 172 Cup, great fun to drive :) No aircon is a pain in the current UK climate, still its about time we had some sort of summer
