Reet Now iv'e done it, so far I have discovered the engine is an f20a4 model code, I have removed the distributor expecting to find a code on it but there isnt. I have split the distributor into parts. I can find a listing for the ignitor as a separate part using the code Hitachi E12-303 but the 3 other sensors wired to the plug only have a code 1997.2.20. Anyone know the makers of the sensors I am trying to cross reference hitachi but nothing found yet. Any multi meter checks available on the sensors? Til the next installment thats all folks :) :D

not fun, checked all 3 black sensors with multi meter and each gives a reading of 364 ohms suggesting to me they are all working, prices for a replacement distributor are ranging between £37 and £108used and £186 new inclusive tax and p+p

1997.2.20 sounds like an American format manufacturing date to me... (yyyy.m.dd)
