Been lurking for a while...
Hi all,
Been lurking on here for a while, in that time I've been getting to know my lude and sorting out the vital parts. Good to see a nice friendly community.
I got the Heart of Gold (she came with the name, after a ship in the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) nearly a year ago now and today is her 20th birthday. I bought her off a mate who had to let her go due to family commitments (pram was too big for the boot and his wife told him it had to go)
She's a 5th gen 2.2 auto (yes, I know) in Nordic Mist and needed a bit of TLC, brake discs were rusting away nicely so they have been replaced along with a flush of the automatic transmission fluid and K&N air filter. Stereo was also desperately in need of an upgrade - the one that was in there had 4x5W output!!! So have upgraded to a nice Pure DAB system. Other than that she is all good (usual scratches and scrapes).
She has obviously had a good effect on the family as my son has gone out and bought a 2.0 manual, you'll probably see him on here more than me.
First plan is bumper repair / replace, she is currently sporting some rather attractive duct tape on the bumpers and then take it from there.
