Hi new member 5th gen Scotland 😊
Wurley thank you for the recommendation which I appreciate but the m north of Edinburgh which is quite far away I wouldn't mind taking the car to them however taking it once to get a quote and then once again to get the work done will be quite a bit for me

Hi new member 5th gen Scotland 😊
I am in Edinburgh Taz
i know of a few folk on here that have used body shops in Bathgate and Dalkeith and ive used one in Edinburgh for sunroof panel respray but none that i know have done any work using the rear arch panels. The one in Bathgate quoted me £3500 to fix my old BB4
your quite right to look at inner arch panels as well - they tend to go on 5th gens but not 4th gens so much also you will probably need to do the rear jacking points on the 5th gen as well.
your welcome to stop by and i can have a look at the car for you sometime.
wish i had a lockup and a welder

(note for the newbs - this is a very long standing forum joke, so don't take that recommendation seriously!)
Wurley I called them up and they are going to send up a few guys to Dunfermline to have a look at the arches and give me a quote they were a bit hesitant but I told them that you had recommended them so they are flying in tomorrow on a serious note thank you for the humor

Hi new member 5th gen Scotland 😊
Vanzep I'm so happy to have a forum member close by. Please send me a pm with your number and I will message you and meet up for a coffee or something once Nicola gets her stuff sorted out lol. Apart from that I'm trying to find some contacts who will get me a cheaper price but do a great job. I think I've found someone and just need to find out his number. I've got someone coming in tomorrow to give me a price for a patch up job to do me until I can get all the rust sorted out properly etc.vanzep wrote: ↑Wed May 20, 2020 1:47 pmI am in Edinburgh Taz

I've ordered all the panels including sills from eBay for my 5th gen and once I have the time and resources to throw at it depending on the price I will let you all know. I managed to get someone to make me an oil cooler pipe for the steering unit that should be in for next week and I'm still waiting for Honda at Fort kinnaird to get back to me with my rear bumper support bar/beam . Loads of parts will fall in next week so it's going to be all systems go!.
I'm really looking forward to getting my car back on the road very soon. I also noticed the guy who fixed on the body kit ended up sticking the new side kit on top of my old sills instead of replacing them so need to get that sorted out too!
Also guys I need to replace my Flexi brake pipes any recommendations that are really good would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance and I look forward to any responses. Vanzep I'm actually a private hire Taxi driver in Edinburgh mate so kick about in Edinburgh alot when the Corona business isnt around

Hi new member 5th gen Scotland 😊
Have you tried lings or honda-parts for...Honda parts (genuine)? https://www.lingshondaparts.com/ or https://www.parts-honda.uk/
I'd recommend some braided brake lines if you're looking to replace your flexible ones. I used Goodridge on mine and they were fantastic.

Hi new member 5th gen Scotland 😊
Yeah for the flexi brake hoses there are plenty of options.
Replacement oem type ones are easy enough to get after-market, or there are off-the shelf braided replacement options from Goodridge and Hel - ebay (or if you want keep your pounds in Scotland, you can even order from funkypower.com )
