C1 35v 39uf
C2 35v 39uf
C3 10v 100uf
C4 10v 33uf
C5 10v 100uf
C6 10v 33uf
C7 50v 0.47uf

Yes i have checked and all are the same (but I could not see what the voltage was on C4 so i have assumed you are right). If any doubt then let me know.
I will have to find the capacitors. (note 3 out of the 7 are on ebay uk)
Just wondering if i should leave the metal enclosed bigger board alone and assume its all ok.
The biggerboard in the metal case has a total of 10 electrolytics capacitors, all have no signs of leaking.

For the record the caps on there are:
DSP Submodule (CNP2730):
C791 47uf 6.3v
C795 47uf 6.3v
C823 47uf 6.3v
C787 47uf 6.3v
C818 22uf 16v
C810 22uf 16v

Ok, after replacing the caps and transistor of the 7.5v module there is no short or smoke but it won't power up either. Still going to measure the module but perhaps the damage is too severe :(

you know i have a spare main board - its there if you need it but looks like you may have to find another dsp unit

Thanks! Recently I've came in contact with a Polish guy who designed a new 7.5 volt module. I think he will offer them for sale somewhere soon, when I have more info I'll let you know :)

That sounds interesting. I would need a new 7.5 volt module for one of the dsp units. Do let me know if they become available. :)
I have still to repair the other 7.5 volt module ... i think it is just a bit too minature for me to work on it - so will have to find someone who can do the job for me.

The one in your car displays "DSP - 6" And a LED, this could be promising! my DSP without 7.5v module only reads "DSP - " but I wouldn't wait too long or power up the radio to minimize the potential damage.
They all say that when initially fired up, until you select a DSP setting.

Really interested to see you repairing this one. Mine works, but has always crackled and I've never bothered investigating (too many other things to do first lol).

When the 5volt is shorted (because of the 7.5 volt module) the system won't react if you press buttons for DSP/EQ and this "DSP -" stays like that even if you press a button.
I understand but wouldn't wait too long as it can damage the DSP quite a bit (see one of vanzep's units) somewhere in this thread :)
