Removing sunroof lining with no power

Post by Bludge » Sun Jun 09, 2013 10:44 pm

I am missing the interior lining for the sunroof on my lude, its not a big deal but i am gradually collecting all the parts i need to replace the broken or tatty stuff in the inside of the car.

Now there is a lude at my local scrapyard that has the lining i need (presume its the same for ukdm and jdm?) and i had a look at marts writeup for swapping a sunroof, and it seems the lining is secured with 2 screws, but in the guide it says to slide the sunroof back a bit to get to them. is there anyway to slide the roof or get access to the screws without power? or am i gonna have to try and hook up a battery to the car?

thanks.

Yes, there is a little cover hiding the motor at the back, I'm not sure what size but a spline tool can be turned to manually move the roof.

You may have the tool in your toolkit. It's the 'S' shaped thing in the picture. :geek:
