Lisa banged her leg on the door handle bracket and cut it the other day too :( (must get round to finishing the jobs so I can put the door cards back on.)

:D - I totally stripped my a couple of years ago after one window fell down into the door and got jammed just as it was starting to rain. Had to drive 70 miles back from work to reach my garage.

I cleaned up the window runners, sorted the alignment a bit and greased them all with Shin Etsu silicon grease and they have been much better ever since. Didn't help that a previous owner seemed to have smeared this chewing-gum paste everywhere behind the doorcard to hold the plastic sheet in place, which was ripped to pieces as well. Still planning to clean that all up and use sound proofing foil to cut down a bit of road noise.

That might have been the original stuff used to stick the weather skin on. It either goes hard, or stays mega sticky. It's plumbers mait.

Everyday is a schoolday! Strange they used that on the front doors and a double-sided foam tape on the rear side panels instead, at least on mine anyway. I'm sure that stuff could be used to great effect for some practical jokes...

PS. Good to see another Iain with a Prelude! 8-)

I hadn't thought about it like (difference in how they did it between front and back) before, but you're dead right there!
