5th gen ludes are surprisingly economical.. so yeah a GTO is a big no no.

Is ~25 mpg really that economical?

IMO motorway mpg is irrelevant before anyone chimes in about getting high thirties, for most Prelude owners that kind of driving is not the norm.

Comparatively.. yes it is. For something of its age with about 200hp from a 2.2 n/a displacement its pretty damn good. The rx8 I had barely got over 20mpg. The jetta tfsi I had would get about the same as the prelude and that was from a newer turbo unit. The d16y8 civic I had was shameful compared to the h22.

And as far as I've read the k20 unit is no better. I'd rather the prelude over a ctr anyday.

I genuinely think the prelude is a good all rounder... which is why I bought another lool

No, but low 30s suit the car very well and you don't have to have tufty ears and wear tweed to achieve it.
