Re: 3rd Gen Accord
This eve I fitted the wheel I bought from @newkid
Sorry about the quality of the photos but I'm sure you get the gist. I have falen in love with this steering wheel already It's smaller than the OEM wheel, and the hand holds just feel right if you know what I mean
In other news, I have a timing belt kit and water pump on order. So this weekend I'll try and get the motor out and all of that shizz sorted. I've got some other errands to run though so not sure how much I'll achieve realistically. Would be nice to get my Accord back soon though, I'm missing it

Re: 3rd Gen Accord
Small job sorted today - the alternator belt wasn't tensioned properly and so I was having troubles with the battery not charging and all the joys which that brings. I've re-tightened it 2 or 3 times but I obviously did a jobby job because the belt still seemed loose. I had my nice new ratchet spanners this time though so it was much quicker to adjust the slack out, it's definitely under more tension than when I previously sorted it so hopefully that should do the trick.
I also had a bash at removing the A/C belt tensioner pulley, but I previously made a mess of the bolt and none of the tools I have could get a purchase. Clearance against the chassis leg is an issue and as such you can't get a socket wrench over the bolt, so my thoughts are I'm going to have to pull the engine in order to remove this bloody tensioner. I'm thinking that it's a lot of work just for 1 bolt, so I may try and plan some maintenance and refurbishment around the job. Definitely a job for the warmer weather at any rate, so I doubt I'll be doing much with this car until later in the year.

Re: 3rd Gen Accord
I'm not sure I've checked my white board and it tells me that all it needs at the moment is a full service and for me to pull the whole engine out just to remove the bloody tensioner pulley for the a/c beltwurlycorner wrote:
So what have you done on it in the intervening time?
