Is that the CD player beside the handbrake? And where are the indicators?

Yeah, that's the stereo, sits upright beside the handbrake on the series 2 CX's.

Indicators are the rocker switch on top of the pod on the left hand side of the instrument binnacle. Perfect for where your hand sits (genuinely, they are).

In a huff from not getting this one started, I went off to have a play with one of my others  if the pics are at all usable (it's been quite dark today) I'll put them up too.

That dash brings back memories of many a year sat behind one.Still the most comfy car seats I have ever sat in though!

Awesome cars, just the indicators really pi$$ed me off cos they wouldn't self cancel and I could never get the ba$tard thing back to a neutral off position!

reminds me of my bx16 ts estate I had when living in france, same interior, indicator switches, and bathroom scales speedo.
Mind you, the hydragas suspension had a mind of its own!! The front would go up and down at traffic lights at will, right nodding donkey!!

 I'm sure you wouldn't want the work that comes with this particular one... Seriously, the doors are rotten and so I'm now very worried about what the front floors will look like when I can get it off the deck :-(

As for comfort and practicality, yes, very comfortable and easy to drive and despite size, it does 40mpg and is plenty quick enough. It's a bit of a bugger to park though - despite having quite a good steering lock, there's no substitute for length!

The two things that catch people out driving these are one the steering self centralises very fast and that can be very disconcerting when you first drive one and two the rear track is narrower than the front which makes for interesting driving. Don't forget it is also French so you can expect problems. Its a car you have to stay on top of otherwise it will quickly turn into a shed. Having said all that it is an effortless car and very pleasant and comfortable to drive.
