Re: Merlin's 4G Time Attack Lude - SLS 2015
After every final at each event you are weighed as you come off the track. There are 3 speed traps around the track that the officials will use to aid them to weed out any car that may be cheating.

Class E is really filling up as well. There are already a few cars that I think I am going to tussle with. There are a few others still to join, a FN2 CTR and an E46 M3 off the top of my head.
Craig McDowall - Renault Clio 172
Dave Acton - Subaru Impreza WRX
Lindsey King - Renault Clio
Steve King - Renault Clio
Calum McRae - TVR 350i
Dave Herd - Ford Fiesta MkII
Suzanne Buist - Mini Cooper S
Keith Cowie - Mini Cooper S
Allister Phillips - Honda Prelude Si VTEC
Craig Dillon - Ford Escort Mk II
Calum Keith - Subaru Impreza UK Turbo

The 2nd Impreza and the Mini Cooper S stand out as two to watch out for.

Re: Merlin's 4G Time Attack Lude - SLS 2015
The owner of the dyno does say that the dyno is typically conservative at its whp estimation in comparison with other dyno's. So don't pay too much attention to the actual figure. He checked over the fueling and a couple of other bits and bots and all looked good. 208 -> 198 is only a fall of 5%.
The main thing is that all cars that enter SLS this year have to use this dyno. So there will be a level playing field.

Re: Merlin's 4G Time Attack Lude - SLS 2015
Yup I have had my fill of dyno's
Success last night, Steve struggled, but managed, to get last years Federal 595 RSR's off the wheels, I wired up my camera power, and most importantly we removed some weight. 54kg was hoick'd out through the removal of the lead and passenger seat
. So I will have approx 156 whp/T which puts me right at the top (well as comfortably close as I want to get) of the allowed power/weight for the class
I have also read the SLS rules again and they say I can use my bat wing and front splitter without me having to get a National A Race License. My car is currently in Modified production scrutineering class (MSA S12) which you only need to hold a National Non-Race B License. You can run big wings etc.. but you need to be in Sports Libre scrutineering class (MSA S14) and have the National A Race License, unless:
