Managed to get the lude to start again :D , wee spit and pop from the exhaust when it did. think it was just sitting about too long.
the plans for it have been pushed ahead, as i only have storage until the end of the month.

In two minds now about using Autobahn garage, as ive had a lot of people recommend performance tek, the guy storing the lude had an eg civic with an h22a2 i think in it built by them. Would rather go with a garage with reputation i think, i had heard about them over on ek9.org when i had my civic. :D

So basically i need to find a solid garage with good rep for this kind of stuff ASAP

anyone suggest anyother places ? :?:
Will be using triple H tuning for the remap.

Andy, I take mine to PerformanceTek. Admittedly I've not asked him to do anything challenging yet - Belts, Servicing (x2), Brake caliper - but I've not had any problems. I tend to go by instinct on these things and Gerry always struck me as pretty honest.

Don't know what he's like as a tuner (Presume you've seen the Jazz etc on the website http://www.performancetek.co.uk) but on the occasions I've been in there he's had something interesting on the go... although he's a bit of a Honda specialist ATM there's an orange VW pickup in there with what looks like a decent size intercooler going on...

Ping me if you want a chat.

Good luck with it.

sitting bored in work here an have started thinking turbo ? afterall i do have another daily car now
not sure about it though

if i was to do it i wouldnt want to just go buy a premade kit. searched about for a while on different forums about turbo kits and all seem to say build your own kit. I would also be changing internals

i know i would need turbo, intercooler, pistons, pipework, manifold, crank, possibly injectors etc.

Anyone able to give me some info on this and what would be the best options ? :?:

I know I'm probably in the minority, but I'd rather go for a tuned NA build. I still view any forced induction on engines not originally designed for it as cheating

Also, a turbo coupled with your high compression engine might not be an amazing way forward?

I second this. Reliability will be (should be) much better with the Na. Both SIR Chris and DoubleDannys turbo engines went pop.

Plus is a high comp 11:1 engine the best to turbo?
