Over 2 months and counting... :) Now also advertised on auto-trader - forked out the extortionate amount of £45, so fingers crossed... Also just had an oil and filter change as it was almost due anyway...

Cheers

Hey,

As the previous owner I was very lucky to find myself behind the wheel of this car again and it drives just how I remembered it 3 years ago. Except I didn't have the struts braced, so would be fair to say it felt even better and the engine/gearbox mounts make it feel like a new car.

I just wanted to make a couple of comments on the current owners behalf,
1) Don't let the honesty that this car went on a track put you off. I believe it was only once, AND as soon as it started to drizzle he came off. I know this because I turned up to watch late, and it had started to drizzle and I had missed it all!
2) Between the two of us and 6 years, this car has had over 10k spent on it. I am still paying off the debts I incurred when my heart ruled my brain (that is no joke) and one of two reasons why I haven't yet made an offer. (the second reason is the only parking I have available is underground and the ramp is about 30 degree's :S ).
3) I am the one who blew the bottom end of the H22A8, I don't know how it happened. it was 6 weeks after a full service, winter, and I hadn't check the oil as often as I should have been. my A8 used to get through oil quickly and I let her down by not checking. Something must have gone wrong as I came off the motorway with very little power and a bad noise. there was no oil and the bottom end had melted. Richy at performance autoworks found me a few options for replacement and one included a JDM import from 4th gen, baffled sump, and Richy knew the engine well and that it was geniune/good etc. it was his recommendation out of the other options. Another £1,600 and she was back on the road.

This is a geniune car and a geniune seller, the modifications are purely enthusiast focused but would put the car towards light/occasional track use. Nothing has been done to the image of the car, (other than the exhaust). it looks oem, but drives like a serious road machine.

Best,

OK guys, ive had some good comments but not much interest (still no viewings)... Feels like this sales been dragging, would like to move it on soon if possible. So whats the car really worth currently, do you think I should lower the price further or hold out for longer? Cheers...

I'm sad to see this car hasn't found a new loving owner yet,

you know i've been trying to work things to make it happen it again. I've been looking into rented parking, family favours etc. I've even been planning and costing up a couple of the bad bits that you mentioned. my biggest stumbling block is (as we can only afford one car atm) is to get Claire out of her fabia (1.2) and into this machine.

Does anyone have any tips in getting their partners to appreciate the lude?

It was realy easy to get Lisa out of her Volvo and into my second lude :D
She did love coupe's anyway though and the Volvo had been purchased by her ex, so they were all things in its favour to start with.
A blast with vtec and going to a meet at mimms was all it took to convince her.

If your missus isn't into cars, I'm afraid none of the advice above will help though

RIght guys, thanks for the comments... I'm still left scratching my head with regards to how long its been...

Ideally i'd like to sell this car before I go away on hol in a few weeks, the car is worth every penny of £1500 imo, but throwing it out there, before I pay for re-advertising etc or finding storage, is there any interest at £1250? Just to move the car on to a good home and so its not taking up space at my parents place... :)

If no interest, I may have to advertise elsewhere at this price... :?

Cheers
