'96 BB1, gauging interest

Post by JohnnyB » Sat Mar 04, 2017 10:23 pm

Hi guys. I'm thinking of passing on the Prelude to the next generation of lude lovers. She was running fine up to July last year but I had a health scare and ended up in hospital for 3 months and off work for 6. Since then she's been parked up with the battery out on trickle charge and has developed a leaky clutch hose but will come with a replacement braided line. She's had the o/s rear wing replaced and I have the n/s repair panel that will come with the car. Other than that the bodywork has seen better days and would need some attention, as have the wheels.

The car PC is still fitted but hasn't worked for years - I don't know what's wrong with it and haven't had a chance to look at it and probably never will lol.

Other than that you can get all the info on my profile thread

What is she worth? Anyone interested? It will be a real shame to see her go but I hate seeing her neglected when someone could be enjoying her...

Hi Johnny, so sorry to hear you're thinking of selling. Crying shame considering how much time and effort you have put into your car and how long she's been with you.

It will be a real shame to see her go, you're right. She's a solid car under the skin and I'm sure she'll give someone a lot of fun but I just don't have time to work on or drive her anymore and can't see that changing anytime soon

She's done about 130,000 miles so not huge mileage on the engine. Almost brand new clutch and flywheel, only done a few k miles. The cambelt has also only done a few k miles but it is over 6 years old so needs replacing, I've got a belt and it will come with the sale but have had no time to fit it. It will also come with the following used spares:

2x black housing headlights
4x standard wheels painted metallic grey (need new tires)
1x ABS computer
1x ABS pump/modulator unit
1x ECU
+ Anything else prelude related I find in the garage between now and the sale

Any sensible offers considered but I am not in a hurry to sell so won't take kindly to time wasters  Please bear in mind she will likely need to be trailered away due to the clutch hydraulic problem (unless you want to fix it where she stands..!)

Argh! Jesus Christ that's cheap
Grrr... I have too many already, otherwise I would be there...
If someone buys and breaks this lude, I am quite likely to kill them. Always wanted to see this one on the road after seeing in the metal (on axle stands).
