Hi guys,
Just wondering what the value might be of my beloved 5th gen Prelude.
I am only the second owner, it's done it's 79th thousand mile at the weekend, and I've owned it since 35k.
Very few mods made, mostly original. Paintwork is original and fading, but other than that in very good condition.
It's a v-reg (99-00) 2.2l VTEC.
Only looking for a ball park figure right now to inform a possible future sale. Happy to answer any further qs to help ascertain likely value.
Thanks,
Aaron
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Got offered £2000.00 on scrappage scheme as part of trade in on new car
Then put car up on e bay and got max bid of £1000.00 but did not sell it as bids did not reach the reserve of £1250.00 which I had set for my 2.0 with 74k in good condition with lots spent on it
Would note had a few emails during auction from people saying max amount they would spend on any prelude is £750.00 Regardless of mileage and condition
Would say £2000.00 for a VTEC with 79k if in good condition and no rust on the arches

I'm amazed a scrappage scheme offered £2k - you've done very well!
You wouldn't get that value as a genuine trade sale on a Prelude, so I suspect they've just used a generic discount available to them, in that value.
Depends on the 'minimal' rust, but I'm in agreement with the other suggestions - if in good nick, a good colour and an H22A8, £2k is probably about right for standard VTI in a retail sale.
