In my experience Its most likely one of the cylinders rather than anything else.

Assuming your clutch didnt disintegrate overnight, or your fluid leaked out of a whole that magically appeared in a pipe, it'll be the slave or master.

As mentioned , pull back the rubber boot (on both slave at the gearbox end, and on the master in the car). Any sign of leakage and you should replace it. If both are leaking, i would replace them, as chances are it would be only a matter of time before the other one failed.

The gearbox/slave is easy to replace, just 2 bolts, 1 union and a bit of bleeding. Generally not too pricey, under 30quid last time i got one for a civic...

Master is a little trickier because of the location, and sometimes a little pricier. Make sure you get the right one, i've had pattern parts in the past with the wrong kind of fittings that add an extra delay in resolving... Usually easier to take the seat out aswell...

If your fluid is low, it will have been leaking out of one of the cylinders. You might get away with a top up and a re-bleed, but you will only have the same problem again later on.

Was it an easy fix? Hoping its not gonna be anything major :p
yeah just bled brake line through slave cylinder and pressure came back immediately, in you case after saying about fluid there its looking like your master or loose hose I think... im not a mechanic.

8-)

If it feels mega light though, make sure it's been properly bled of air.
