Fuel Line Material

Hi folks,

I'm making up some fuel lines for my Golf currently, I bought copper fuel line and have been bending it in to lines to suit the new fuel injection set up. However, I've got a couple of questions - firstly, is copper pipe ideally suited to the exposed position of the lines on the Golf:

And also, as I need more material is it ok to use stuff such as this from B&Q? The pipe I initially bought was from eBay and mainly just so I could get some practice cutting and bending it, and as it was dubbed 'fuel line' it's a bit more expensive than the hardware store variety. I have my doubts as to whether there's much difference, but I also have no intention of becoming a hurtling fireball any time soon so thought it was worth an ask first

Was it straight copper pipe you bought on ebay, or cunifer?

Just regular copper

Then buying that stuff from B&Q will probably be no difference, just check the wall thickness is the same.

Normally cunifer is used for fuel and brake lines, because it's much more resistant to corrosion.
