Question about error codes

Post by Vtecmec » Wed May 18, 2016 4:29 pm

A question for you all, when reading error codes from the ECU, does it show them in chronological or numerical order?

I'm getting 1 long flash followed by 9 short ones, though I'm not sure if its 2 separate issues. I've either got a code 10 and code 9, or a code 19?????

not sure but unless there is a pause between the one long dash and nine short dash then it will be code 19

Doesn't show them in chronological order, just any old order IME (think it's actually the order in which the ecu logged them)

OK, anyone know if code 9 or 10 puts the car in limp mode?

I still have vtec and the car runs perfectly, code 19 is auto transmission solenoid, the car was once an auto but since been converted (ECU included).

Typical, fine for ages and literally the day before a big drive on the continent....................

The manuals not clear which solenoid, though I've removed them all, I've just driven 100miles without the CEL, but this morning came on within 5 minutes.

I'm erring towards this being a function of the auto box wiring still in the car, I'm going to snip all the relevent auto wires at the ecu when I get a chance.
