If I remove the head to inspect the valves, do I have to then get it skimmed, because of the disturbance? Or could I just slap a new gasket in there?

How do you time it all up correctly? Can anyone point me to a possible thread explaining this?

Did you pay a garage to do the Oct 12 cambelt change?
If so I'd be goig back to them and expecting them to do whatever repairs are required FOC!!!

@wurleycorner

The garage I took it to, to check the damage, was different to the garage who carried out the cambelt change.
I'm not sure wether they would take the blame anyway because its not a part they replace anyway, during a cambelt change, or am I wrong?
