Yup and they have a different gallon to us as well so straight up MPG figures are not comparable.

Yes I've edited my last reply, the Yanks use PON which is the average of the RON and MON fuel values. I think it may also be called AKI as well. LOL I'll have to ask my Dad as he is living in the states. He'll probably just put in 'Regular' :lol:

@BMCC is on the money - also on Wikipedia:
in the US octane rating is displayed in AKI

First place to look for what octane rating your car was designed for, is to look inside the fuel flap... It says in there!
