Are the diveshafts on type s's different then
Thought the suspension differences were the extra ball joints etc. didn't realise it affected the driveshafts too? Tell me more...
Ok, so if the ones listed are the right gen, right box (i.e manual/auto) AND the right type of SH/non-SH, then he's in business?

If buying from the US you need the US "Base" version.

Yeah, that's a difference on the box though - so I'm assuming the SH driveshafts are a different length again than manual/auto 5th gen driveshafts, right? Which is why I was saying provided it's the right box, they'll be the right driveshafts. Are there any other differences? Ok, I'm not explaining myself clearly am I... I was fighting with on/off wi-fi on the tube at the time!
What I'm suggesting is there are a maximum of 3 different driveshaft lengths, which is solely dependant on the gearbox 'type', i.e.;
1. Auto box
2. Manual box
3. Manual box with ATTS ('Type-S' or 'Type-SH')
There are various different manual gearbox codes (e.g. M2F5/M2V5 etc.) but that doesn't matter for buying driveshafts - a manual box is a manual box is a manual box as far as they are concerned...
Is that right?
And then the only difference would be whether that's with or without ABS. (Did they do 5th gen's without ABS?
)
So if he's after driveshafts for a manual Vti with ABS, then so long as the parts lists say they're for a manual car, not Type-S/SH and with ABS, then they'll be fine - it makes no difference whether it says that's for US/CA market.

In the US it is:
1. Auto
2. Base (manual)
3. SH (manual ATTS)
Yeah all 5th gens come with ABS.
So long as anyone with a VTi searches for stuff that fits the US Base they will be fine.
