Valve clearances? The noise could be valve lash?

Thats what i thought of first too but i have never experienced either so was swaying more towards the Lma's from searches related to camcover area noise.

Sounds wicked though eh?

Doubt the valve clearances have ever been done on her, sitting at @ 220,000 kms now too

Valve clearances are adjustable for a reason, they fall out of their optimal tolerance and need re-adjusting ;)

You reckon it's them then Merlin from the sound?
Have you experienced it before yourself?
I could be lazy and i have already a Green card from herself to get it in to Honda here or i could learn myself, time is of the essence at the moment though :-x
One job i have always had lingering there to get ticked off the list too.

It could be although it is hard to tell. It certainly wont do any harm setting the valve clearances again.

Urgh yeah, that doesn't sound right!
Dunno what it is though, just from the sound unfortunately.

Got a KAIZENSPEED’s H22 Timing Tensioner in there last belt change ;)

I have to get the camcover off and investigate and maybe even do the valve clearances myself then too.

Hello Greg-SIR :P

Ok, so if you've an manual tensionner, the belt should be correct :D
So maybe LMA , but the sound seems really like when my auto-tensionner failed on my 4th gen
The noise seems to be very hard, but it is difficult to tell on a video...

Hope you will find what the problem is, good luck :D

Yes it is a bloody terrible rattle, hard to source it on the vid but it seems worse over the belt area which would lead suspect to it.
I was going to do some work on the bb2 but this is taking priority so going to pull the cover off.
Mate of mine got his Accord Euro valve clearances done last yr at Honda here,he reckons $700+
