You wouldn't really want a type S engine for yours tbh firstlude. The block is slightly different and you have to fit blanking/adapter plates to get a standard box to fit :ugeek:

Confusingly, the type S engine is coded H22a  (but is different)
You could stick any other h22 in there. A, A2, A5, A8... All fine, just avoid the type S (easy enough considering how rare they are :D )
An A5 or A8 will need the ancillaries and sensors swapping off an A or A2, for simplest install into a 4g (different OBD Yo)

Just out of interest, how much would you want for the ATTS? In the 9 years of my ownership, mine has never given fault, however I could be interested in having a spare just in in case.
Although, does anyone know if the units can actually just fail or is it more common to have a sensor issue before a unit failure?
Thanks, Charlie

Sensors seem to give trouble and are both expensive and need a lot of work changing. Was that atts working well when you had the car driving(no lights or codes coming up) spudep91?

Anyone know if Performance Automworks are experienced with ATTS? In terms of oil changes, changing sensors and the like?

They did an engine/box swap on Sam's Type S.
