Thread revival :) if I cut my flexi out with an angle grinder, and use slip joints and clamps to put a new flexi in, can it go through the MOT provided it doesn't leak?? I'm aware this is probably the pikey method but I can't find a replacement and I'm not inclined to spend silly money getting a new flexi welded in when the rest of the pipe could really do with replacing.

yes, as long as it does not leak and is secure.

The slip joints and clamps aren't going directly onto the flexi, right? They go onto solid bits of pipe that are properly attached to the flexi, either side of it? :?

^What I'm thinking of doing is clamping in a section of flexi like the one Sam linked to in his post, which has solid pipe at either end. Should work hopefully? :?

Ah yep, had forgotten what that looked like. I'd have thought it would work ok, certainly no harm in trying!
