Jdm's do have a different vac hose configuration to ukdm's (I did a post about it recently, comparing my 2).

I concluded that that thing is a fuel cut off switch a while ago, though I can't remember where in the manual I found that (think it might have been in a supplement? :?)

Hi mate, if you still need it here is that picture. i seem to have the same thingy, but mine is capped off where you have an air filter :?

Let me know if you need another angle as i took a few photos (it was dark and couldnt see what i was doing! lol)

EDIT* looking at it the setup is the same, one hose into the bottom, and one into the side. only difference seems yours has the filter and mine is capped.

Yeah i started with the purple hoses but didnt buy nearly enough! do you know what size the small stuff we bought was? 4mm? think im gonna go with white instead and get a load off ebay!

Its from the states, other then that i would suggest trying ALS, as they have their just japanese section.

going on them wanting £7.40 each for the rocker cover rubber grommets, my guess would be loads!!

Give ALS a call, if they have it i can always pick it up for you and post it/bring it up.

It is the EVAP purge solenoid yes, but it's not connected to the EVAP system, so it's use is something else? To purge vacuum to the FPR? Doesn't seem right to me? :?

All you need is a vacuum line direct from the inlet manifold to the FPR. Question is, what is the electrical plug telling it to do exactly?

This is very weird.

A fuel cut as has been suggested could be something? Not related to some kind of limiter or limp mode thing from the ECU???
