Yes it is (I think). Mine did the same once. But during normal use clutch pedal is hiting the floor before it reach the poping spring point.

Don't know about the box. I think pics would help. The only think I have in my mind is cruise control but it's above pedals.

Also noticed where the auto pedals are, where the clutch should go is a metal control unit of some sort. Anyone know what this is and if I can dispose of it or need to position it elsewhere?
Here is a pic of what i was referring to:

That's not the cruise control unit - that's the thing bolted just to the right of the brake pedal arm in your bottom picture (silver box top right of that pic, with the bolt head facing towards)

I know, the cruise control unit looks like a HDD, this unit n the picture sit where the clutch pedal should go, so I am wondering, is it something auto related (which can be binned, or something important (that should be re positioned)?

The donor car definitely has no signs of anything like this control unit in the footwell.

If anyone can shed any light it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm thinking it might be something to do with the interlock between the auto gear shifter and the ignition switch that was fitted to some auto's? that sounds familiar for some reason... Who was it on here that had problems with the key being trapped in the ignition when they converted their 4th gen auto to manual?

You know what, that makes sense because since i have stripped almost all the auto gizmo's from my Lude the only way to release the keys at present is to disconnect the battery (for now).

I'll let you know how i get on tomorrow pal. Thanks

Have you compared the transmission mounts yet?

Yep they are slightly different, so have two options...cut the manual mount out from the donor and weld it in my lude or modify the original mount.

Probably go with option 2. What do you think?

Option 2 would be easier, and since you have a manual as a template, you can be pretty sure you'll get the alignment correct (basically drilling a new hole at one end and relocating the nut on the other).

Thanks for confirming Vtecmec, seems the best scenario.
