You have to wait for it to go off BEFORE you return to centre, when it comes on again then you go clockwise.

this is my point bud I sat there for ages with wheel locked at center waiting and waiting for light to go off. should I have front jacked up so turning without the power steering isn't so hard to get wheels inline?

Exactly :? maybe I'm interpreting what you're saying wrong. But don't move from 45-60 until it it goes off, only then go to centre. Moving it to centre and waiting for it to go off isn't right.

I've done the reset with all 4 wheels on the ground, that shouldn't be an issue.

:? I can't believe I'm saying this, but having read a few of these threads about 5th gen 4ws reset, I reckon the 4th gen resoldering sounds easy in comparison!

Lol it's proving to be quite tricky so far!! No mercuric as it states the engine shouldn't be running only at the on II position
