Cheapest place for OEM Honda oil filters?

Strangely lacking on ebay, cheapest I can find is H-tune at £8.

Anyone know any improvement on that?

hamp green are a good/better replacement if you can find them? i always get mine from opie.

Ta, yep I've seen Hamp filters for decent prices and I know there's a craze for Hamp shortie's but I'm not into the shortie route and being proper

this is for the 3g next week and I want it to stay full on oem

Japserviceparts do it for 6.99 without post but I think if you add postage it comes too £10 ish
Japeservice parts are good but worth buying the oil too to make use of the postage charge

Why not a full size Hamp? I thought they were supposed to be better than OEM?

I run S2000 oil filter on my lude due to the higher capacity. I can get them at around £8-10. Think the normal oem filters are £7 something.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Got nothing against a full length hamp in the slightest (I also don't believe there's any benefit to one over any other good pattern part though either (blueprint etc)). The BS about hamp being performance parts that are designed by Honda is just that though, from what I can make out - nicely spread about by tegiwa years ago when they started selling them and seems to have stuck...

I just want to stick an oem Honda one on the 3g, that's all!

HAMP = Honda Aftermarket Parts

OEM filters use cardboard filter ends, Hamp use aluminum filter ends, Honda updated the s2000 filters to use the same aluminum filter ends (this is why honda use s2000 filters where possible on older cars), the shorties actually up the psi of the oil pressure by about 5, obviously with it being for the 3rd gen the upped pressure wont make a difference with it being non vtec.

Here's a guy that's actually sectioned some bought off the shelf filters, as opposed to just the marketing BS that's repeated over and over from one forum and Re-seller to another.

So there are OEM Honda filters with metal ends and OEM Honda filters with cardboard ends.
There are also Hamp filters with metal ends and Hamp filters with cardboard end.
Look at one of the oem Honda filters and the hamp one. They're exactly the same. That's because neither 'Hamp' or Honda make or design filters. They all come from one of a few down the line oil filter manufacturer with different branding stuck on the outside... And which original manufacturer it comes from determines what the innards of the filter are like.

It's the same with Citroen filters. They're just branded Purflux filters. Etc.

And whatever, tbh there's nothing wrong with any of them for normal use anyway. I generally always use the oem (e.g. purflex for Citroen, blueprint for Honda etc.) but any decent branded pattern part is absolutely fine - who ever heard of a (not fake copy!) failed oil filter or one that damaged their engine!

Hi all,

I have used the below company recently for parts, the oil filter for a MK4 is £3.60. The filter is Blueprint and have been advised they are good for the price. It might save some money for the more important parts should we need them

Regarding 3G when I spoke to the chap on the phone for parts on mine said they can get parts that are not listed but its best to ring them and find out. They might sort you out like they did for me!
