Engine Cut and Won't Restart
Hi all,
As the car had been sat up for a couple months, decided to start it up and run the air con to dry out the interior. Had it running for around 40 mins while I washed the outside, so was up to temp nicely and had been running smoothly.
I got in and blipped the throttle, it coughed and splutter before the revs then built up. Tried another 2 or 3 times same thing, then on the next go the engine died.
After that, it failed to start. Would cough and splutter but not actually fire up and run itself.
I'm guessing it's either sparks or fuel, is there anything else to consider?

I don't think that's main relay - it wouldn't have noticed that you'd just blipped the throttle.
I would check out things on the ht side first if all. Leads, plugs, distributor cap etc.
When it was idling, was it idling high (i.e. as if the choke was out) or had it brought the revs back down to understand 1k?

Re: Engine Cut and Won't Restart
Had a similar problem with mine, I hadn't run it for a couple of weeks and it would start run up to temp, and the revs would just rise, drop and engine cut out, whilst driving restarting or at a junction. Wasn't till I put fresh fuel in, started her up, she tried to play up then must have tasted fresh fuel and not had that particular problem since.
