More power?

Post by johng » Thu Jan 31, 2013 6:19 pm

hello troops, how are we all?

As i said in my intro post, i'm new to hondas. Was looking to get some of you guys input. What can i do to get more power from my car? Very willing to put a few ££££'s into the car :) Its the 2000 uk model 2.2 vtec vti tiptronic, everything on the car is factory from what i can tell, only thing i've done so far is get a custom exhaust system with a magnaflow backbox fitted. Any thoughts on what i should do next guys? cheers for any input, would be much appreciated.

Ditch the chocolate box and convert it to manual transmission, thats quicker acceleration straight away (and more fun)

Only a few hundred quid for a gearbox, a weekend, lots of swearing and some bloody knuckles.

If its a 2000 VTi it should be an A8 engine- so a conversion to a ATR A7 inlet manifold & a remap will really liberate some great results
