Chinese injectors?

Post by stinkypaul » Fri Jul 14, 2023 11:36 am

I'm wanting to get my injectors cleaned as part of a plan to improve emissions and generally make the car run better.

I've noticed that it's less expensive to buy new chinese injectors than it is to get my injectors cleaned. It's half the price.

Does anyone have any experience with cheaper aftermarket injectors?

Have you tried running a couple of bottles of injector cleaner through a few tanks of petrol? Unless you have odd fueling issues (eg one plug looking very different to the rest, rough idling) , then its not usually something that usually crops up.

I would probably steer clear of aftermarket injectors myself.

Yer, I doubt cleaning injectors is going to make a difference, they either work or dont work. Diesel injector cleaning on the other hand.......
Most fuels today have enough surfactants in them to do a decent job of cleaning the injectors.

I would definitely avoid cheap chinese injectors. Especially if you don't have an injector flow bench to test them on yourself, before fitting.
Stick to a known brand.

Thanks for the responses. I'm going to get mine cleaned and flow pattern tested. Somethings off and the car is too rich, so I'm going to make a few changes while I diagnose the issue.
Since my original post I've watched some videos on chinese injectors and they seem to be trash, so I'll definitely avoid.
