Need new auxiliary belts - where to buy?

Post by chris_rd92 » Sun Jul 30, 2023 4:18 pm

Hi guys,

During my MOT yesterday I noticed that both my alternator/air con and power steering belts are starting to look a bit frayed. Before I order them from Rock Auto, does anyone know if there are any UK suppliers that I can get them from? Preferably of a reputable brand like Gates.

Cheers
Chris

I'd get them from honda direct. I bought a gates belt or similar and it seems a bit hard for my liking, causing occasional squeal when it's wet outside, despite a few adjustments. Could be down to the refurbed alternator pulley however

Just had a look on https://www.parts-honda.uk/ but unfortunately they only have the power steering belt (unless I'm being a blind wally), and £36 for one belt is a little steep for me!

I completely missed your post mate, cheers so much for those part numbers! I found the gates ones I needed on ebay, although they were a little more expensive than the ones you got.

Honda, Gates or Continental. Those are my three preferred brands.

No worries.
Here is the link to ebay and yes prices are a little higher. Got both belts from the same supplier.
6PK1043 £14.52
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165084815411
4PK1020 £11.96
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154614526350
sometimes there is a 15 or 20% discount on ebay promotion.

ADL Blueprint belts are excellent quality too.

Re: the part numbers, there's a separate thread on this, in the technical/wiki section - the info is within the "cambelt change parts" thread :)
