Hondata S300- Is it worth it?- Thoughts Please.

I've yet to try and wire in my Frankenstein old Civic ECU with moates/demon II and harness adaptor but I doubt I'll ever get it working. Looks like mapping support is dying down by the sounds of it too.

1k for the haltech and connector seems a little steep, but I guess if you factor in its a decent looking product and probably has decent support, I suspect it will cause less trouble than a bodged up 30year old ECU with another ECU jammed inside it with some serious soldering butchery...

Haltech support is absolutely fantastic.
The point of the additional money you're spending is fantastic support, continually supported and updated software, extensive data logging and protection built in, easy opportunities for coil on plug, e-throttle, flex fuel etc. later on down the line if you want and if you decided to sell the lude and start on a different project... Just take the ecu with you and it will run that.

Many thanks for your knowledge and ideas, much appreciated.

Lots of thinking ahead, and based upon the performance of a new cat on the car, will Dee if I need to splash some cash.
