Hi all,
Does anyone know of a source for a front engine mount for a 5th gen? I've found my front one has almost split in half...
The part number is 50814-SS0-000.
No longer available from Honda and I can't find any third party ones in stock anywhere.
Alternatively will a 4th gen front mount fit? That I can an equivalent for.

Thanks!
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Front Engine Mount - 5th Gen
I think they are both the same - the part number you have for 5th gen mount is a 4th gen part number (SS0 is 4th gen S30 is 5th gen)
I have replaced front mounts with Yamato one.
Other alternative is to take the mount out and fill it with sikaflex or fit energy suspension insert.

Thanks but I'm already fully polybushing the suspension and I'm trying to find some compromise to keep it civilised as I will be dailying it once it's back together. Although that feels like a hundred miles away now!

TBH you don't notice the ES front mount inserts, they are predominantly for fixing broken front mounts.

Ah interesting, perhaps I will have to invest in a whole set then as sadly it looks like the front one has been split for a while and that's caused the gearbox and rear mount to begin splitting too.

Agreed, the front one doesn't really create too much of a problem - the oem rear mount then takes up the slack (though it does mean it puts that one under extra stress). Don't fit the rear polybush tough - you get appalling dashboard vibration and shake.
There are actually different part numbers for the 4th gen f20/f22/h23 and h22 front mount.
H22 is 50814-SS0-000
F20/F22/H23 is 50814-SS0-980
Cross referencing the H22 part number shows it was fitted to 5th gens and the F20/F22/H23 (but not the other way round), which I suspect means the H22 4th gen part superceded all others? But not sure what the difference was?
Used to be able to get both available after market, but earlier this year I needed to replace the front mount on my BB4 and could only find after market options listed against the F20/F22/H23 part number, none against the H22 part number.
In the end I found a brand new H22 one I'd stashed away years ago, so got lucky and solved my problem (that time) though that doesn't help here!
