The sump on my 4th gen has gone, very rusty as the 4G pans are steel, so need to replace it. Lots of cheap ones on eBay that I'm going to take a punt on.
Apparently the 2.0 and 2.2 sump part numbers are the same (11200-PT0-010). I would have thought they were different due to the different blocks.
£36 quid. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/226217757293 ... R5yws9jtZA

5th gen sumps are more difficult to baffle. With the steel sumps, you can weld the baffle plates into them. TBH it's no longer an issue as I have just bought a baffled sump off the internet. The last sump I had was done by PAW.

can confirm the 5th gen alloy sump does suffer from starvation on track days, although only in chicanes it seems. Cornering alone doesn't seem to trigger it.

That's a decent price tbf. The sump on my UKDM BB1 is badly corroded on the outside and I was going to (with some trepidation) attack it with a wire-wheel and then re-spray it (on the car) but for that price, I would probably just take a punt on that being decent quality and see what turns up!
Does seem like that sump is fitted across the F20/F22/H22/H23 - but when I look up on the parts system, there are two H22 4g sumps for the H22
Re-sellers are showing them as interchangeable (list their after-market as covering both part numbers) and I suspect the latter part number superceded the first in Honda. But would be interested to know the difference.
trying to recall if the sump can be changed in the car without splitting the gearbox... Think it can?
OE gasket part number 11251-P0A-000 is still available (circa £58)

Yeah, all you need to remove is the front to rear engine brace and the sump will come off.wurlycorner wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2024 1:34 pmtrying to recall if the sump can be changed in the car without splitting the gearbox... Think it can?
My new baffled 4G sump turned up. It looks to be an OEM style sump from Rock Auto with a custom baffle plate welded into it. Pretty much exactly what PAW did for me years ago.
