Grille goes for about $120 and emblem about $40 from dealership here in the states so about £82 for grill and £28 for emblem. Shipping would probably add another £30 to the other side of the pond.

Yep. I suppose it's sort of like your state taxes... presuming that say if you're in OR and you pay 0% sales tax on in-state purchases, if you bought and paid for something based in CA you'd have to pay tax at the CA rate? Not really a good comparison. I suppose it guarantees that the gov gets something even if we save a bunch of money buying something elsewhere.
