4G Control Arms

Post by jjmartin349571 » Sat Jul 20, 2013 6:06 pm

Hi folks,

Just a quick one - are Accord upper control arms compatible with 4G Preludes? And if so, which gen Accord... The 5G Prelude shares a platform with the 6G Accord, but both the 4&5G Accords were produced around the same time as 4G Preludes :?

Cheers,
Josh

Building on my last post, it transpires that the 4th and 5th gen Accord have the same running gear, along with the Rover 600.

So my only question now is will it fit a Prelude? It looks the same, and Accord/Rover part prices are half that of the Prelude ones.

Example Accord UCA

Interesting thinking. Be surprised if they are the same though, track could well be different for example, achieved by different arms?

Yeah, this is my concern. I need to find out the track width of the Accord I think. But when you think about it, if the above arm fits the 4th & 5th gen Accord plus the Rover 600, must they all have identical track width then? Or could different widths not be achieved through the design of the chassis? The 4th and 5th gen Accords are both very different looking beasts.

Another avenue I thought of last night was that rover coupe thing whatever it's called. Didn't they use Honda engines??

The 220 coupe used Rover engines (K series in the n/a or T series in the turbo version)

Ah my bad. Maybe I'm thinking of one that had an engine swap
