It's sorted now, just my brother being a fool... A fluke occurrence.
So can anyone help me with this?
I was thinking of swapping the entire front suspension:
*knuckles inc. brakes
*control arms
*spring/shocks
*and probably steering rack/tie rods
Are these interchangeable with a 4G?

I dont know about the steering rack and track rod ends but every thing else should be a straight swap. I have heard from a good source that the rear arms are interchangeable.
I would be confident enough to dive in, but realise that you may hit one or two problems but these should be able to be overcome

Thanks Merlin, I like your optimism.
Due to change in track and the fact that 4G is 4stud i'm thinking the following:
Parts off 5G:
Knuckles (because i want to keep 5stud (motegi wheels))
calipers/discs (to fit 5stud)
steering rack/tie rods. (because track different ???)
driveshafts (in case theres a difference between 5G and 4G male/female splines)
Parts off 4G:
4G lower arms/radius arms (surely the same)
4G spring/shocks (bet they are different stiffness/damping here)
As much I can take off a 4G the better as I have access to 2 in a scrappie. 5G stuff will have to be through cars being broken. However if I go for 4stud then I could probably just use pretty much everything from a 4G. Who knows if alignment is the same between cars, if not I presume tyre wear and handling might be poor.
Anyone got any input/experience with 5G~4G interchangeability?
I also need front rad support (crossbrace) and air intake. Thinking of taking these off a 4G, anyone know if they the same?

The rear arms are deffo interchangable:
http://www.ludegeneration.co.uk/chassis ... m&start=10
The front arms is a grey area but I would be confident and have a go
Lings shows the radius rods to be the same (apart from one character in the part number) I would assume thay are the same.
Springs and shocks are fully interchangeable.

That wont be an issue as you will need a full wheel alignment done when you are finished.mynameisowen wrote:Who knows if alignment is the same between cars, if not I presume tyre wear and handling might be poor.
