Cos I'm gonna have to start using Nitro+, so want to make sure it's not being mixed with any old sludge & general nastiness. :?
The first lump you are fitting is a h22a2 ukdm and a ukdm ecu. So why would you need to run 99ron?
The silver donor we broke for your bits was only mapped for 95!

You will only need to go nitro+ when your monster 300bhp project h22a goes in :P

Yeah, I'm kind of edging slowly away from the H22A2 now Darryl, as we discussed. And trying to negotiate a decent H22A off @tramroadmotors atm. :D To be included in the job.

That way, the engine will already be there, and I won't be disappointed. ;)

I'm sure he'll have something available by the time I'm ready to have the conversion done.

So we need to strip that engine of all it's ancillaries, & put it up for sale on eBay me thinks.

We'll talk about that when I get back off holiday. ;)

An H22A2 at the national put some H22A's to shame, so is there much to be had from that extra expense of changing the selected engine now? Did knightmare ever have that engine dyno'd? It might be another good one like Mario's? If you're going aftermarket mani and intake, you'll be getting more out of it than stock anyway?

Yeah I know, but I can probo sell it on eBay for £150 or thereabouts, plus I won't have to pay £60 to have it shipped to Wales. And I'm sure I could negotiate a decent H22A for similar money, & I won't have to worry about transporting it cos it will already be on site.

So I'll probo break even in terms of cost, and I'll have a JDM engine.

See my logic?

i do have a h22a here but im a little unsure of its history so not willing to fit to a customers car.
i also have a h22a2 and a h22a5 which are both known good engines and would be ideal if you fancied going down the low blow turbo route at a later date.
however i am always on the lookout for more preludes locally in my quest to corner the market on overpriced used parts
eventually being the sole uk distributor for them

Well not looking to spend too much on an engine as i already have a H22A2 with 100,000 miles sat in the garage, so we'll have to see what comes up..

Phil, is the A5 uk or JDM? I don't know.

Merc, tell me a bit more about your engine, just as a matter of interest. ;)

its from an auto so doesn't really get a thrashing or should I say its never been buzzed like when the wrong gear is selected its a strong engine being replaced with a fully built engine mileage is a funny one as obviously its been imported so I don't know exactly
