4th Gen: Lowering Advise Please?

Post by arif_manji » Tue Jan 09, 2018 8:38 am

Hey all,

I am wanting to lower my 4th Gen UKDM but not sure what springs to buy as I want to use the stock shocks. I have photoshopped the desired height I am wanting as I am not sure what kind of drop I'd need to achieve it. I don't want it too low so it scrapes everything but enough for a nice ride and looks good.

I've been looking at Eibach Springs kit that has the 30mm drop, not sure if that would be enough?

Pictures below:

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Some 35mm lowering springs should do it.
H&R do set set for around the £200 mark. They're progressive springs so you get some improvement in handling without too much loss in comfort.

You have the same 'look'problem there, that we have on Lisa's bb1 at the moment - 17" rims make it look like its on stilts (think it's an optical effect of more 'wheel' than 'tyre and arch gap')

I think Honda-hardy had Eibach springs on his 4g, with 17's???
He might have some pics to show what that looks like.

There are plenty of here that have had eibachs on standard shocks and been well pleased with it.

Both are 30mm drop, do you think that will do it?
