Yep most stick with Honda power steering fluid.

However... (thanks to having to look into the A/T fluid for the ZF box in my C5 V6) I'm sad enough to have found that it actually uses the same fluid as Honda use in their power steering system (it's equivalent to ZF Lifeguard 3 IIRC) and there are several after market manufacturers/suppliers (Esso/Febi etc.). Most of these still AREN'T cheap though. There are some small scale UK domestic suppliers selling the stuff on ebay, but you need to know what you're looking for.

It is definitely NOT the same stuff as standard red coloured power steering fluid.

For the sake of all the hunting round to found an alternative though, you might as well just buy the Honda OEM stuff.
Try the price from your dealer (they might give you a good discount if you're regular like me/if the parts guy is feeling generous) or you can get it delivered from H-Tune.

If ordering from H-Tune, don't forget there is a club discount.
