Rear brake kit
Rear brake kit
I remember a thread popping up recently about a brake conversion kit for the prelude rears with calipers, discs & adaptors. Can't seem to find the thread now, anyone remember it or even know where it's gone?

there was mention of toyota auris rear brake conversion in vlads profile or mondeo conversion in merlins profile refering to work paw had done on their track car - both looked/sounded good but need custom spacers

think the paw/mondeo one has slightly bigger discs than the toyota one

Think you're right. 290mm is fine tho, don't want them bigger than the fronts
All depends on how bad my rears are, there were new calipers on the car when I bought it but I think one has seized already

good idea - let us know what you come up with - the brackets dont look to be too complicated
so could be the new rear brake upgrade to have

Ah it's a prelude caliper just spaced out into a avensis disc, easy ill get a pair of disc tomorrow and make a template.
Any idea if you'd want steel, stainless steel or alloy bracket?
An ally one would be more difficult as it should be thicker and helicoiled for strength, but I can probably do them easily enough.
