Need your help Chaps and Chapettes,
Not driven my car since it passed its MOT last week - only advisories are front Discs and Pads on their way out. Turned the car on today to head to a mates and the fekkin ABS light is on!!! Grrr
Any ideas whether it might be the pads/discs or could it be something more sinister?
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

The 5th gen service connector is in the passenger footwell. There is a bit of carpeted trim underneath where the radio is, it pops off and reveals two connectors. You want the blue 2 pin one.

My ABS light keeps flashing too with my hand brake light. I think the pads are worn that low it's making it flash. It's scoring a ring around the disk and I've noticed a small chunk has gone off the disk. Think it's very dangerous they sound awful!
I can't run it to London tomorrow it's too bad when I brake one side flicks because of the pressure on one side is greater.
Good job I got new disks and pads sitting in the hall way waiting to be fitted Saturday!

It's proper f**ked dude! Think the driving at the national meet killed them off. I knew the MOT tester a few days ago said they was low but Christ he wasn't joking!wurlycorner wrote:Definitely don't drive it if you've had a chunk come out the disc and it pulls to one side!
So basically instead of thread jacking low pads could be your problem from my experience so far mate!
