Mine was perfect prior to fitting the carbon sunroof and then refitting the oem s/roof. I think once I removed the rubber seal that fit around the perimeter to use on the c/f s/roof, it opened up a rusty can of worms.nucleustylzlude wrote:This /\ quite common.
Has anyone here got a non rusty original 4th gen sunroof, other than me (and most likely Pushki!)?

On the 4th gen, the rubber seal doesn't grip tightly enough to the panel to stop water being drawn inbetween the 2. the seal should have PU sealant injected around it before fitting to the sunroof panel. (This is what the service manual shows). Don't know about fif's.TopPrelude wrote: Mine was perfect prior to fitting the carbon sunroof and then refitting the oem s/roof. I wasn't happy with some of the c/f imperfections so sold it shortly after I bought it.wurlycorner wrote:On the 4th gen, the rubber seal doesn't grip tightly enough to the panel to stop water being drawn inbetween the 2. the seal should have PU sealant injected around it before fitting to the sunroof panel. What happened to your carbon sunroof panel? Is it available?
