Help - boot lid torsion bars

Post by dave0555 » Thu Dec 05, 2013 11:10 am

My boot lid refuses to stay up. Can someone please point me in the right direction for the guide to reseating the torsion bars. I am sure I saw one on here but can't currently find it.

Cheers guys

Dave

there are 2 different adjustment points for whether you have a spoiler or not.

sounds like a spoilers been fitted but the torsion bars not adjusted to the other point.

but yeah, get ready to swear and wear some beefy gloves to save your fingertips.

that's why some lude's have a smack-you-in-the-chin bootlid when they're removed the spoiler but not re-adjusted the torsion bars.

there's a full guide in the service manual describing how to set for spoiler or non-spoiler

Do they have a setting for a carbon boot and light-ass mugen spoiler? :? ;violin

Chin slap or remove and boot prop?

:? Or stick some lead weights into the bootlid to bring the weight back up so the torsion bars work?

More weight? I'd rather take a chin slap or (when my heads in the boot???) a chopped neck!

In all seriousness, I need to move this thread guys. This section is for people to post guides and how to do something. Posed questions are for the specific technical thread

MOVED TO BODYWORK SECTION. :D
