So the trim arrived the day after ordering (I should hope so for 9.60 delivery!), and was a little different than I expected. I was expecting a piece that has 3 'straights' and two corners, whereas it was a single length with a slight coil to it, and no obvious bends. It is nicely soft though and malleable.
This is the profile.
I ripped off the existing trim, then tried for hours to remove enough sealant to get the trim to sit properly, this proved impossible so I decided to take a different approach.
An hour after that decision, armed with a stanley knife and a foot of welding wire, I was here......
So then just a matter of cleaning things up and re-bonding the screen back into place with the trim. Lots of tape to make sure it was spot on.
As for how it fits........
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.
