Wiggz sorry but the lude is sorned atm and the Soarer has an unresolved brake problem (I am kicking mechanics arses on that as we speak) So I would not let anyone drive it. I would never forgive my self if we had another Dave Rose(old git) on my hands

To those new to this forum Dave Rose was an active member of PUK and then went and bought a Soarer and collided with a bus on Valentines day 2009 on an icy road and burnt to death. No one could open the door because of the anti hijack feature. Mercifully he was unconscious at the time.

That is a tragic story hopefully he felt nothing,
It's a shame my trade plates have lapsed as I could have collected the Lude and taken her fora maintenance run

Back to my cars. I had the eastern Europeans wash it and a nice job they made of it for a fiver. So I have a clean car to start with. I am starting from the top down by sitting on a pair of steps for the roof  High chair for the bonnet and boot and the ground for the rest(not 6 feet under it yet) What I want to ask is there any tips on removing old polish from seams such as around door handles and mirrors etc. I use a wooden tooth pick or cocktail stick to carefully scrape it off but that is very time consuming.
Was going to start today but sods law dictates its raining

What, popped up on eBay a year ago? I didn't see that! Have you got a link to the sale (if it's still up)? It doesn't show as insured anymore - I check periodically (unless the plate has been changed of course).

Didn't realise it was a soarer he'd bought.
